Bhutanese youth killed in a shooting in Baltimore

In two different incidents of shooting, two youths have been killed while two other are critically injured in Baltimore, Tuesday night.

According to Baltimore police, 17-year-old male victim was found shot multiple times in the torso. He was rushed to an area hospital. He is reported to be in critical but stable condition.

Another 20-year old youth was found behind the building with a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at 10:32 p.m. at an area hospital. Referring police spokesman Kevin Brown, Baltimore Sun.Com has mentioned that the deceased is identified to be Big Bahadur Gurung, a Nepali immigrant.

Police said the two men may have been targeted in a robbery.

Meanwhile, KN Uprety, Chairman of Baltimore Bhutanese Committee has mentioned that Gurung was a recently resettled Bhutanese refugee. Despite our effort to contact Uprety, he was not immediately available. Until the filing of this report, nothing more has been known about the deceased and the victim.

In another separate incident of shooting, another 24-years old man was killed. Police identified him as Jones III of the 3400 block of Oakfield Ave. in Baltimore.

बाल्टिमोरमा मंगलबार राती  भएको गोली प्रहारका दुईवटा छुट्टाछुट्टै घटनामा दुई जनाको  ज्यान गएको छ | बाल्टिमोर पुलिसले भनेको छ कि अन्य दुई जना सख्त घाइते भएका छन् |

पुलिसका अनुसार एक जना १७ वर्षीय यूवा जीउमा धेरै पटक गोली लागेको अवस्थामा फेला परेका थिए | उनलाई नजिकैको अस्पताल भर्ना गरिएको छ | उनको अवस्था गम्भीर भए पनि स्थिर रहेको पुलिसले जनाएको छ |

अर्का एक २० वर्षीय यूवा छातीमा एउटा गोली लागेको अवस्थामा एउटा घरको पछाडी फेला परेका थिए | पुलिसलाई उदृत गर्दै बाल्टिमोर सन.कमले उनलाई रातको १०:३२ बजे स्थानीय अस्पतालमा मृत घोषित गरिएको जनाएकोछ |

बाल्टिमोर प्रहरी प्रवक्ता केभिन ब्राउनले ती मृतक यूवा बिगबहादुर गुरुङ रहेको र उनी नेपाली आप्रबासी रहेको बताएका छन् | उनले भनेका छन् कि ती दुई जना यूवालाई डकैतीको निशाना बनाइएको हुनसक्छ |

उता बाल्टिमोर भूटानी समितिका सभापति केएन उप्रेतीले मृतक यूवा भर्खरै पुनर्बासित भूटानी भएको जनाएका छन् | भूटान समाचार सेवाले प्रतिक्रियाका लागि उप्रेतीसंग सम्पर्क गर्न पहल गरे पनि यो समाचार फाइल गर्दासम्म कुनै सम्पर्क हुन सकेको छैन | मृतक र घाइतेसम्बन्धि बिस्तृत जानकारीसमेत प्राप्त भइसकेको छैन |

गोली प्रहारकै अर्को घटनामा अर्का एक जना २४ वर्षीय यूवाको ज्यान गएको छ | उनी ओकफिल्ड एभिन्युका लि जोन्स III रहेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ |
