मानस आक्रमणमा एकको मृत्यु, दुई घाइते

पूर्वी भूटानको मानस क्षेत्रमा सेप्टेम्बर ११ को साँझ एउटा अज्ञात समूहले रोयल भूटान आर्मी (आरबीए)-का एक जवानको हत्या गरेको गरेको छ भने अन्य दुईजनालाई गम्भीर घाइते बनाएको समाचार प्राप्त भएको छ।

भारत-भूटान सीमास्थित हाम्रा समाचारदाताका अनुसार रोयल मानस नेशनल पार्कमा नियमित गस्तिमा रहेको आरबीएको टोलीमाथि सो अज्ञात समूहले आकस्मिक गोली वर्षाएको थियो।

यता सरकारी मुखपत्र क्युनसेलले भने गेलेफुको सेना बाहिनी शाखा १-बाट गएको सो टोलीले गोबरकुण्डमा बेलुकाको खाना बनाउँदै गर्दा करिब ६.३० देखि ७ बजेबीच सो समूहले एक्कासी गोली चलाएको जनाएको छ। गेलेफुबाट पूर्वतर्फ पानबाङ जाने क्रममा दुई दिनको पैदलयात्रापछि गोबरकुण्ड पुगिन्छ। 

मृतक सैनिक ४४ वर्षीय पेल्जाप रहेका थाहा भएको छ भने घाइतेमध्ये हात-खुट्टामा गम्भीर चोट लागेको जनाइएको छ। विशेष सूत्रका अनुसार सो बेलुकी ३५ सैनिक जवान र दुईजना सैनिक अधिकृतहरूको टोली गोबरकुण्ड नदीको किनारमा बास बसेको थियो।

मृतक पेल्जापको शव र अन्य दुई घाइते सैनिक जवानलाई आइतबार बेलुकी गेलेफु ल्याइएको क्युनसेलले जनाएको छ। मृतक पेल्जापका श्रीमती र तीन सन्तान छन्। यो समाचार तयार पारुञ्जेलसम्म कुनै व्यक्ति वा समूहले सो हत्याको जिम्मेवारी लिएको छैन।

One killed, two hurt in Manas attack

An unidentified gang has killed a soldier of the Royal Bhutan Army (RBA) leaving two others critically injured on the evening of September 11.

According to our correspondent in Indo-Bhutan border, the unknown gang had fired at a regular RBA patrol team in the royal Manas national park.

The state-owned Kuensel mentioned that the incident occurred at around 6:30 to 7 pm in Gobarkunda, when the patrolling team from wing 9 in Gelephu was preparing dinner. Gobarkunda is a two-day walk from Gelephu towards Panbang.

The deceased soldier is identified as Peljab, 44, who died on the spot. Those critically injured have been hurt in the arm and legs.

It is reportedly learnt that at least 35 soldiers and two officers were camped near the Gobarkunda River that evening.

Kuensel further said that the body of the Peljab and the two injured soldiers were brought to Gelephu last night. The deceased is survived by his wife and three children.

Until the filing of this news, no individual or group have owned up responsibility to the incident.

बफेल्लोमा भूटानीहरूको प्रथम सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रम

न्यूयोर्कको बफेल्लो सिटीमा रहेका भूटानीहरूले शनिबार हर्षोल्लासका साथ नेपाली संस्कृतिको महान चाड तीज मनाए। यो कार्यक्रम नै बफेल्लोका भूटानीहरूले गरेको प्रथम सर्वसम्मत सामाजिक कार्यक्रम भएको टिमाई शिविरबाट यहाँ पुनर्स्थापित विष्णु अधिकारीले जनाए।

कार्यक्रममा रातो साडीमा सजिएका नेपाली चेलीहरूले तीजगीतसहित नाचेर सबैलाई नेपाल, भूटान वा भारतकै सम्झना दिलाएका थिए।    

चेली-माइतीबीचका दुःख, वेदना र गुनासो पोख्ने मुख्यतः 'चेलीको चाड' भनेर चिनिने यो पर्व बफेल्लोमा रहेका भूटानीहरूका लागि भेला हुने र परिचय साटासाट गर्ने अवसर साबित भयो। १६५ लासेल एभेन्यू, केन्मोरस्थित विष्णु काप्रीको निवास परिसरमा आयोजित सो कार्यक्रम हिन्दू विधिसम्मत सम्पन्न भएको थियो।

बफेल्लो हिन्दू किर्तन मण्डलीद्वारा आयोजित सो कार्यक्रममा कम्तीमा ५ सय भूटानी नेपालीहरूको उपस्थिति थियो।

नयाँ ठाउँ, नयाँ परिवेश र परिस्थितिअनुसार भूटानी समाजको गतिविधि र मान्यता पनि फेरिँदै जानुपर्ने जरूरी औंल्याउँदै अब उसो कुनै भेदभाव नराखी भूटानी-नेपालीहरूले एक-आपसमा खुल्ला मित्रता र आत्मीयता साट्न यस्ता सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमहरू आयोजना गर्दै अघि बढ्नुपर्ने सो मण्डलीका सद्स्य डिल्लीप्रसाद सिवाकोटीले बताए। सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक र भाषिक अस्तित्वरक्षाका निम्ति यस्ता क्रियाकलापहरू बहुमूल्य भएका कार्यक्रमका अधिकांश सहभागीहरूको मत थियो।

American writer pens book on GNH

An American writer, Doris Lee McCoy has launched her fifth book entitled “The Magic of Gross National Happiness” at the Tarayana foundation conference hall in the capital city of Bhutan on September 10, 2010.

Does Bhutan really have GNH?

According to Doris, Bhutan is the eighth happiest nation in the world. America has been place in the 23rd position, Germany 35th, and England 41st.

Doris stressed that the people around the globe have begun to realize the importance of happiness further adding that there are 26 happiness clubs in America.

She said the four pillars of GNH splitting into nine domains gave specifics for other countries to be able to use as an example they might also use in theirs.

Interestingly, this book could not catch the plight of those citizens who were expelled from the country only when they tried to safeguard their own happiness.
